Longtime director leaves after 12 years
After 12 years of service, Louise Hom, Lochrane Engineering, has stepped down from service on the Sunshine 811 Board of Directors.
Throughout her tenure, Louise served on the Chair of the Bylaws Committee and was a committee member of the Damage Prevention, Operations and Legislative Ad Hoc Committees. While chair of the Bylaws Committee, she conducted a comprehensive review of Sunshine 811's board policies with a great level of detail.
She was also a champion on issues such as positive response code misuse and getting locates for design firms that dig.
"We'll miss her leadership and input," states Mark Sweet, Sunshine 811 executive director. "But we know that she will always be an advocate for damage prevention and safety throughout Florida."
