DAO Consultants

Since 1989, Dao Consultants has continuously provided engineering design services for development projects in the Central Florida areas.  These projects covered a wide range of engineering disciplines such as civil, environmental and traffic engineering.

 1.               Civil Engineering

Design services for land development projects included preparation of construction documents consisting a minimum set of plans for lot layout and geometry, grading, paving, drainage, storm water management plan and utilities services connections.

Permitting application packages have been prepared and submitted to regulatory agencies from local to state level such as:  City or County building permits, Water Management District for storm water management plans, State Fire Marshall for fire protection system

 2.               Environmental Engineering

Design services for environmental projects covered many subjects such as potable water distribution system, sewer collection systems, new or upgraded lift stations and fire protection system.

Permit application packages were submitted to City Public Works Department or County Public Utilities Department and Florida Department of Environmental Protection for water distribution systems, sewer collection system and lift stations.

 3.               Traffic Data Collection

To support application for land development projects and determination of the project impacts on existing roadways, traffic data was collected at proposed location and nearest intersections. Traffic counts were collected manually and electronically with recording devices. Recorded data were then downloaded into a computer using a transportation software.  Analysis of roadway conditions was based on collected data processed through Syncro. This is a versatile and powerful software program to analyze travel times and delay as well as speed studies.
